Webcam
Last year I setup a webcam to show up to date images on the construction of the Ice Palace and create a timelapse video (click here). Surprisingly, it increase foot traffic at the ice palace to a noticable amount. People who were not familar with exactly when the ice palace was being built or had never seen it before, saw newspaper articles on the webcam and decided to see. The hit rate of the search site I built went from 600 a week to 6000 a day, with a hit count of 10,000 in one day.
The camera used in the timelapse was a Stardot Netcam
The camera will be back up again coming this winter. I am hoping to have a few more up soon.
