Ebooks Future or Failure
The Ebook or digital book comes in many formats and uses an array of technology to deliver content to your computer or e reading device. Amazon has the kindle and software to run on the iphone. While Barns and Noble has thier new software that runs on your pc, mac, iphone or smartphone. Then there are the flash based ebooks. These run on any device that will display flash websites. There is also the epub format that will run on a number of devices.
In the updated content we'll be trying out some of these techologies and seeing which ones work for individuals or small companies trying to publish information on thier websites in place of thier printed cataloges and content and the self publisher trying to get thier book online.
Epub Ebook format
ePub is an open format defined by the Open eBook Forum of the International Digital Publishing Forum.
File Extention .epub
Being open source and for the most part free to convert to this format makes this is a great place to start with ebooks. Having big league players like adobe creating software that makes reading this format possible is a big plus.

Myebook (free) Just came across this site, for now its free to publish to flash and if you wanted to test the waters its a good place to start.
Flash based eBooks
Limited to Devices that can read flash files. Converting your document to flash can be a quick way to get your printed material online without haveing to redesign your content. There are a number of services and softwares to provide you with flash based eBooks.
