Finding out how fast your internet speed is can be usefull if you are having problems with internet application and how good your service really is. There are two things to look at when testing your internet speed. How fast files download and how fast they upload. In almost all cases the download speed is much faster than the upload speed. This is fine when you are just working with getting something from the internet. The problems arise when you try to work with both upload and download internet net applications. Example : Skype Video Chat. You need to send video (upload) and recieve video (download). If your upload speed is too slow your video may not work or be jerky. If the person sending video to you has a slow upload speed it wont matter how fast your down load speed is, their video will still look bad. (This depends on how slow the speed is for upload)
